Hi, I’m Chef Josh. I love good food, and I’m always hungry. Cooking is how I show my people that I love them.
After nearly a decade working toward a PhD in English, I made the leap from academia to the kitchen full-time — a decision fueled by my love of food, hospitality, and the way a great meal brings people together. Since 2007, I’ve worked every role in the restaurant world, from server to chef, in kitchens recognized by the James Beard Foundation and Jonathan Gold’s Best Restaurants.
I moved to Portland in 2016, drawn by the food, the music, and the incredible seasonal bounty of the Pacific Northwest. My style is simple, seasonal, and honest — thoughtful food that’s made with care and meant to be shared.
Today, I offer private chef experiences, event catering, custom menu creation, and restaurant consulting. Whether I’m cooking for a special dinner or helping a client design the perfect menu, my goal is always the same: to create warm, memorable experiences around the table.
